If a person does not feel comfortable during a sexual act or encounter and proceeds to tell you to stop, majority of the time, the person wants you to stop. It does not mean you should try to manipulate or ‘convince’ the person into activities in which they are uncomfortable with. I decided to speak about this because I have had different encounters and I am tired. I have heard silly statements like
“Why are you behaving like this, you’re not a child” and “You’re young, you should learn to relax and have fun” What do these words even mean?
The sad part is that majority of the ‘aggressors’ cannot see why what they do is so wrong. You begin to hear increasingly stupid comments like
“After I spent all that money on you” or ” Why did you come out with me then? No Jokes, I’ve heard all this before. I’m sorry, I thought we were going out because you wanted to get to know me
You call me to come out with you and proceed to start asking stupid questions trying to manipulate me into doing things I am not comfortable with. One idiot had the audacity to ask
“Why are you behaving like this, are you a virgin?” all because I refused to follow him to his house
You must be completely mad. How is that your business?
I guess all I’m trying to say is if a person tells you no, then end it there and stop harassing people. Another thing I want people to know is that men can be harassed too. So check yourself, are you harassing anybody?
What do you guys think? Am I being too ‘strict’ as some of them would put it. Feel free to leave a comment below
